Sian McAdams’s five must see shows at this year’s Festival

Thursday May 3rd 10pm

This eight piece band are a massive favourite in the jazz festival. Portabello combine songs witht the influence of rhythm & blues, funk, soul,jazz & pop and create their own versions on old and new favourites.

Audiences will be astounded by lead vocalist Bronach Moore. Portabello are a band not to be missed.

Friday May 4th 1pm

A ten piece band made up with the musical genre’s of ska, soul, and funk, playing the classical 70’s and 80’s hits by Madness, Blondie, James Brown, The Blues Brothers, Stevie Wonder, The Specials plus many many more. It’s a nice break from being stuck inside, Considering the weather that is.

Saturday May 5th

A seven piece Ska band with some members from a two tone Ska era, whilst the rest are music students who are now hooked on the style.

Front man Robbie Foley involves the crowd everytime with his energetic and charasmatic performances.

Sunday May 6th

An energetic show on and off the stage. With music influenced form the boogie woogie, jive and rock n’ roll of the 19-30’s - 1950’s as well as their original material, World wide audiences have been stimulated and amazed by their performances.
