Chances are everyone has danced the night away to Chic at some stage. Think ‘Aaahh Freak out! Le Freak, C’est Chic’ or the endless classic ‘Good Times’, and you’ll soon realise that Chic have created some of the most timeless tunes in history - and they’re bringing it all to Derry.

There is nothing you can say about Nile Rodgers that hasn’t already been heard by billions of people, via millions of radio airwaves, in thousands of cities, in hundreds of countries. Nile’s signature is scrawled across an amazing array of music - from Madonna to Diana Ross, from David Bowie to Eric Clapton.

Chic was the brainchild of Nile and bassist Bernard Edwards. They arrived in 1976, in a New York City that was already caught in the grip of disco fever. the band went on to produce classics like ‘Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)’, ‘Everybody Dance’, ‘Le Freak’, ‘I Want Your Love’ and ‘Good Times’. Between 1976 and 1983 Chic were the superstars of disco.
