The MacCafferty School of Music is celebrating the success of its School of Music pupils who achieved honours and distinctions in their Summer exams from the Royal Irish Academy in Musical Theatre.
Pupils who achieved their Grade 8s were Robyn McNutt, Patrick Keenan and Roma Brown. Grade seven pupils were John Lee Armstrong, Aine Cory, Niamh McCay, Jessica Doherty, Hannah Richardson and Andrew Ferry.
Niamh McCay and Andrew Ferry who achieved marks of 95 and 93 have now been chosen to represent the school in the High Achievers Concert in Sligo on October 13 where they will receive silver medals.
They will compete for a place in the concert with other high achievers in National Concert Hall later this year.
Pupils are now studying for Trinity Guildhall exams next month and preparing for their annual charity event on November 11th in the Millennium Forum at which they will all perform.
Money raised annually at the concert goes to the Foyle Hospice.
