Some of the very best local musicians will get together this evening (April 11) at An Culturlann, Great James Street, to help raise funds for Foyle Search and Rescue.

Musicians performing include Paddy Nash, Eamon Friel and Martin Sweeney.

Paddy Nash, who has released two critically-acclaimed albums with his band, The Happy Enchiladas, will be accompanied tonight by Eddie O’Donnell, an accomplished musician in his own right.

Eamon Friel, of BBC fame, has released five highly regarded albums of personal songs and is currently working on a new album.

Martin Sweeney has recently returned to performing in partnership with the highly accomplished guitarist Sean McTaggart.

He is currently working on his debut album and will tonight perform his song “River Angel” - a tribute to the volunteers of Foyle Search and Rescue.

Also performing at tonight’s event are Caoimhe Henry, Aine Sweeney and Marianne Cregan.

Doors open at 9pm. Tickets £5 (payable at the door). All proceeds to Foyle Search and Rescue.
