Three of Donegal’s best-known musical acts are taking to the stage in Derry later this week for a unique show.
In Their Thousands, the Henry Girls, and the Inishowen Gospel Choir will be collaborating for a unique night of music at An Cultúrlann in Derry on Saturday, November 9.
All three acts are well-known to audiences in the north west but this is the first time they will have shared a stage together. The Henry Girls - sisters Jolene, Karen and Lorna McLaughlin - have been delighting audiences around Ireland and further afield for years with a blend of trad, folk and roots which is framed by their distinctive harmonies. Joining them at An Cultúrlann will be In Their Thousands, a four-piece folk-rock group from north Donegal. The Inishowen Gospel Choir has performed with both groups before and this show will be the latest in a long list of collaborations for the Carndonagh-based singers. The show will mark the end of what has been a busy six months for the choir which seen them perform in the Netherlands and at festivals including the Electric Picnic.
