Traditional music fans across the world will be able to watch live coverage of Fleadh Cheoil na h’Éireann from Derry thanks to an innovative development in online streaming.
Fleadh Live, a new addition to the All Ireland Fleadh for this year, will allow millions of people across the globe to stay up to date with events in Derry during the Fleadh from August 11th -18th.
The live coverage will be presented by TG4 presenter Síle Ní Bhroanáin, who has been a familiar face on the Irish language television station for a number of years.
The presenter said it is an exciting development for the Fleadh. “We want to share our music with the rest of the world and with Fleadh Live we can do that via Fleadh.ie
“People around the world love Irish music and this is live a big free concert for the whole world,” she said.
Ms Ní Bhroanáin also said she wants to involve local people in Fleadh Live. “I will be going around the city, meeting people and finding out what the Fleadh means to them. I want to get people involved and anything is possible.
“It is the first time that Fleadh Cheoil na h’Éireann will be broadcast live online and it is really exciting for Derry,” she said.
