Derry heavy rock band Triggerman have been confirmed as main support for Brazilian thrash metal legends, Sepultura, in Belfast this weekend for their only UK headline show.
The Belfast date at The Limelight this Sunday, August 12, follows on from Sepultura’s appearance at the huge Bloodstock Festival in England.
The legendary thrash metal band have sold a staggering 10 million records across a career now in it’s third decade, with landmark albums such as ‘Roots’ and ‘Chaos AD’ released to critical acclaim and huge sales.
Triggerman are supporting the release of their third album, ‘Hail To The River Gods’ which was released on June 1 this year to widespread acclaim under the band’s own label. The album is getting great reviews, and this support slot comes soon after Bap and the lads’ riotous appearance at this years’ Glasgowbury Festival in the Sperrins.
With a massive fan base across the North West, Triggerman are widely respected for their explosive brand of heavy rock. Metal Hammer Magazine described the band as “...a real breath of fresh air to the genre... a groove that is a vast cavern of cacophony.”
After the support slot this Sunday, the Triggerman boys have an appearance at Limavady’s Stendhal Festival to look forward to.
‘Hail To The River Gods’ is available to download on itunes, or from Cool Discs, Foyle Street, or at: www.triggerman.co.uk
