The River Foyle, one of the defining features of the 2013 UK City of Culture, is to be celebrated in an innovative new piece of music to be performed by the Fidelio Trio as part of the Walled City Music Festival on Sunday 21st July.
‘The River Still Sings’ is a multimedia work featuring music composed by Frank Lyons set to a new text by acclaimed local author Seamus Deane with visuals by Professor Paul Moore from the University of Ulster. Celebrated actor and Chancellor of the University of Ulster James Nesbitt will also feature in the performance as the ‘virtual’ narrator of the piece.
The Fidelio Trio event supported by the Loughs Agency will perform ‘The River Still Sings’ on Sunday 21st July, in The Great Hall at Magee. Tickets are priced at £11.50.
