Derry is to feature on the New Year’s Day edition of Channel 4 hit show ‘Come Dine With Me.’
Viewers shouldn’t expect too much Doherty’s Special mince or sausages but can expect the odd row over a stray hair.
The show features four dinner parties, each hosted by one of the contestants as they seek to secure a £1,000 prize. Such is the popularity of the show, Come Dine With Me has enjoyed 23 seasons on the TV schedules.
Participating in the episode shot in Derry are: “Full-time mum and self-proclaimed `crazy yank’ Sheila Whelan Duffy; Part-time call centre op Caroline Patterson; Cost administrator Eunan Quigley; and pooch potty company director David Kavanagh.”
The meals on offer include a controversial seaweed starter and boiled beef with colcannon and lamb shank with blue cheese and vegetable stack while there are also some alternative therapies, arguing and of course some back biting.
The show airs on New Year’s Day January 1 at 7pm on Channel 4.
