The PSNI have been conducting vehicle check points following reports of dangerous driving on back roads behind Creggan.

One of the checkpoints was set up on the Heather Road between the city and the Donegal border.

The PSNI said: "Since receiving reports of dangerous driving around the back roads of Creggan, we will be stepping up our patrols and conducting VCPs in the area for the foreseeable.

"One of these roads is just around the corner from a nursery school. Please be considerate for those around you and theirs and your safety when driving."

Back in April the 'Journal' reported how 'boy racers' were employing differential steering to dangerously spin vehicles through 360 degrees at two junctions on the Creevagh Road.
