Roisin Rice is currently Acting Vice Principal at St Mary’s College, Northland Road, Derry. Roisin joined the staff of St Mary’s in 2013. She is a Microsoft Expert Educator and has just recently returned from the Microsoft School Leaders Conference in Estonia. Roisin is a graduate of Queen’s University and has been teaching for almost 20 years. Roisin was awarded the coveted title of IT Educator of the Year by the British Computer Society in 2019.

Well-known driving instructor Jim Doyle has guided thousands of people through their driving test. Originally from Dundalk, he travelled the world for ten years before settling in London where he met and married Derry woman Mary, who promptly moved him back to her home town where he established the Foyle School of Driving. A keen long-distance cyclist, he has taken part in several endurance events, including the non-stop tour of Ireland. He is a member of the Spartans running club and has to date completed 25 marathons.

Award-winning Derry journalist and writer, Susan McKay has been presented with a major individual award worth £15,000, from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland National Lottery funding, the highest honour bestowed by the body responsible for the development of the arts in the region.
