€37,000 for Buncrana’s Afke on Winning Streak

A Dutch woman, living in Inishowen for more than 30 years won a cool €37,000 when she appeared on the National Lottery Winning Streak TV game show on RTÉ One last Saturday, just months after a fire almost destroyed her family business.

Buncrana Castle which was allocated �17,000 for roof works under the Historic Structures Fund 2019.  Buncrana Castle is one of Donegal's most important and impressive early houses built 1718 set at the entrance to Swan Park in Buncrana

Funding for built heritage

Some of Inishowen’s most important built heritage is to benefit from funding under this year’s Historic Structures Fund (HSF) and Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS), which will be administrated by Donegal County Council.
