‘Donegal low income must be tackled’ says Senator Eileen Flynn
A Donegal-based senator has said the county’s level of income - the lowest in the country - needs to be addressed if the government is serious about inequality.
Senator Eileen Flynn, who lives in Ardara, said: “This year, people in Donegal once again have the lowest level of disposable income.
“The issue of economic inequality was brought before the House last December. We need to address some of these inequalities and look at the issue because it is so real. We are far from being an equal Ireland either economically or more generally.”
