Ninety people cam off the dole in Derry last month - but you are still more likely to be claiming unemployment benefits in Derry than in any other part of the north.

The latest Stormont figures show 5055 people of working age claimed unemployment related benefits in the Foyle Parliamentary constituency in August, that’s 7.6% of people of working age.

That’s higher than every other constituency and three times the rate of unemployment in Mid Ulster and Lagan Valley.

Across the north 3.7% of people of working age are claiming unemployment related benefits
