Altnagelvin now has 5.81 per cent capacity - no new COVID-19 admissions since Easter Monday

At midnight on Wednesday 25 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

There have been no further COVID-19 admissions to Altnagelvin since Easter Monday.

Five of 10 (50%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; four (40%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and one (10%) was free.

Six ICU patients in total were being ventilated - four were COVID-19 patients and two were non-COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 4.28% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 82.87% were ‘other occupied’ and there was 5.81 capacity left in the hospital system; 7.03% were ‘awaiting admission.’

There have been no further deaths.
