Remembering IRA Volunteer Hugh Morrison

The 100th anniversary of IRA Volunteer Hugh Morrison took place in Derry recently.

The 22-year-old republican, of Creggan Road, Derry, was seriously wounded at Skeoge on Thursday, June 15, 1922, when a bomb he was handling exploded.

He died on Saturday, June 17, 1922. Members of his family recently remembered him in the City Cemetery in Derry. Here are some pictures of the commemoration.
