All roads lead to Westway for St Joseph's Boys' School festival
Organised and funded by the St Joseph’s Boys School Past Pupils Union, the annual festival attracts over 1,000 visitors throughout the day. Entry to the Festival is free and on the day there are a number of different events which organisers say will suit all tastes and interests.
For younger children, there are three Jo Jingles sessions. The first will be in the school’s lecture theatre at 1.30pm. There is a charge of £2 per child for this event. However organisers stress that this is the only event throughout the day at which there will be a charge of any kind. Exhibitions of Irish dancing will also be provided by the Aisling McGill School of Irish Dancing and the McGinley School of Irish Dancing. Other activities on offer will include a raft of sporting events including exhibitions from Rathmor Warriors Gym and Kickboxing Club, Oxford Utd F.C, Doire Colmcille G.F.C and Na Magha Hurling Club as well as North Star Basketball Club and City of Derry Tennis Club. These events will take place in the gym.
