Places left on trip from Derry to shrine at Knock

A one day pilgrimage to Knock in honour of Venerable Matt Talbot will take place this Sunday (July 17).

Snack and three course evening meal optional but available for only an additional £25.

The Story of Knock began on the 21st August, 1879 when, at approximately 8 O’ clock in the evening, fifteen people from the village of Knock in Co. Mayo, witnessed an Apparition of Our Lady, St. Joseph, St. John the Evangelist, a Lamb and cross on an altar at the gable wall of the Parish Church.

The National Marian Shrine in Co Mayo is visited by over 1.5 million people each year.

In the 20th century Knock became one of Europe’s major Catholic Marian shrines, alongside Lourdes and Fatima.
