RheumatoidArthritis society meet in Derry

The next meeting of the local NRAS (National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society) group will take place in Derry on June 7.

The meeting will take place in Lecture Theatre 1 in the Trust HQ/MDEC building at Altnagelvin Area Hospital

from 7pm-8.30pm. Parking is available in the multi-storey car park adjacent to the MDEC.

Nurse Specialist in Rheumatology, Bronagh Grant will speak about drug therapy in the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis.

The NRAS is for people living with Rheumatoid Arthritis, their family members, health professionals and carers. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis and always on a Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

On September 6 there will be a talk on occupational therapy and physiotherapy on Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment and aids to help cope. On November 29 Dr. Wing Hoi Yau, Consultant Rheumatologist will talk on Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment and the advances to date.
