Next month, guitar fans of all ages will flock to the Nerve Centre in Derry for a series of exclusive master classes with two of the world’s greatest rock guitarists.

‘Thin Lizzy’ founding member and guitarist Eric Bell is first up with a one-off music masterclass on Saturday, September 5.

With an illustrious career spanning well over 40 years, Bell will be sharing his best tips and tricks of the trade, interspersed with performances showcasing the gifted nature of the guitarist that is, arguably, most recognised for playing that intro to ‘Whiskey in the Jar’ - an absolutely unmissable event for any aspiring musician.

Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal will follow on Saturday, September 12, enthralling audiences with his signature hair-raising guitar solos, while offering fans and budding musicians the opportunity to ask questions and help further develop their talent.

He said of the clinic: “It’s very spontaneous, it’s fun, it’s a lot of back-and-forth with the audience. It’s an event, a whole day of hanging out and having a good time together.”

The accomplished musician is best known as being the lead guitarist in ‘Guns ’n’ Roses’ between 2006 and 2014, however he has been performing since the age of 13 in various bands and venues.

His undeniable talent has seen Thal release over 10 albums, a live DVD and headline numerous international tours and festivals.

A limited number of tickets are available from the Nerve Centre www.nervecentre.org. Book now to avoid disappointment.
