Extra Loganair London Stansted to Derry flights ‘due to particularly high demand’

Loganair has said that it is adding extra flights to its London Stansted to City of Derry route over the Christmas period “due to particularly high demand”.

The additional services will see the usual two flights on weekdays bolstered by an extra service on both Tuesday December 22 and Monday December 28.

These will depart City of Derry at 13.05 returning 15.05 from Stansted and 13.50 returning 15.40 respectively.

There is also an extra service on Monday January 4, leaving Derry at 10.50 returning from Stansted at 12.50.

Tickets for the extra flights have now gone on sale, with fares from £39.99 one-way.

Extra services have also been added by Ryanair on its routes between Edinburgh and Liverpool and Derry.

Loganair was selected as the operator for the Public Service Obligation (PSO) contract to secure Derry’s sole air service to London in February 2019 after previous operator flybmi entered insolvency.
