The Glow Run took place in Derry last week and its aim is to raise awareness on how runners and walkers can stay safe when out after dark.

This fantastic footage of the city was taken by media students James Quigley, Eoin Kenny and George O’Hagan at the North West Regional College’s Glow Run.

More than 300 walkers and runners took to the streets of the city last Thursday night for the college’s inaugural 5k event.

Using glowsticks and reflector bands the college’s message was about staying fit and healthy, but with advice about how important it is to stay safe when walking/running on dark evenings.

All of the footage was filmed using a drone camera and DSLR cameras on tripods.
