12 to be sentencedon drugs charges

A dozen people will be sentenced in Derry this week in connection with drugs supply, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

A police spokeperson stated: “Twelve people are due to be sentenced at Derry Crown Court on Thursday in connection with Operation Meris – a police investigation into the supply of large quantities of controlled drugs into and throughout Northern Ireland.”

The sentencing is scheduled to take place at the Crown Court in Bishop Street from 10am on Thursday.
