Acclaimed pianist Young-Choon Park visits the new Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre/Ionad Ealaíon agus Cultúir Ghleann na Ró for a stunning evening of musical delights on Saturday 29 January at 8pm.

Beginning her piano studies at the age of four and playing the Beethoven Piano Concerto No.1 with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra at the age of nine, this South Korean-born child prodigy later studied at the renowned Juilliard School of Music in New York.

Having toured extensively throughout Europe, Scandinavia, South Africa and the United States, playing at such major venues as the Lincoln Centre, New York, she makes a welcome visit to Limavady town! Young-Choon Park has broadcast for radio and television in many countries and is currently recording the complete Mozart piano concertos for Duchesne World Records in Belgium.

Her musical feast for local attendees on Saturday 29 January include Mozart’s Sonata in B-flat major, Beethoven’s Sonata in F minor, opus 57 Appassionata and Chopin’s Nocturne. A perfectly soothing evening of stunning music by a revered musician, described as ‘…individually refreshing, while demonstrating real passion and style as well as outstanding technical proficiency’ by The Sunday Times.
