Local people thinking about setting up self-catering tourist accommodation in the city have been invited to attend a series of ‘drop in sessions’ tomorrow and Saturday.
Hosted by Derry City Council, Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau (DVCB) and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB), this could be an opportunity to use vacant furnished residential property to meet increased demand for accommodation during 2013. Self-catering accommodation requires NITB certification and there will be an opportunity to complete an application form at the sessions if your property is ready.
NITB will then process the completed application form upon receipt of payment.
There are two drop-in sessions which are taking place on Wednesday 20 March at Clooney Hall Centre between 4.00pm and 8.00pm and on Saturday 23 March at the Playhouse Theatre between 11.00am and 3.00pm.
The drop-in sessions are free to attend and you do not have to book in advance.
