Anderson in HML talks

Sinn Féin’s Martina Anderson says she’s in contact with both management and workers at HML, as well as Invest NI, in an effort to clarify the company’s position in Derry and to reassure workers about future employment.

Ms Anderson said: “I have spoken to reliable sources in the company and have been assured that risk to jobs at the Derry centre is minimal.

“The loss of even one job is unwelcome and would impact seriously on any individual involved but I do not believe that alarmist rumours are helpful to the morale of the workforce.

“Therefore, I have arranged to meet with HML CEO Brian Brodie in the coming days and am also in contact with Invest NI to discuss the situation and I hope to be able to reassure the workers.”
