An art exhibition has opened at the Garden of Reflection Gallery, in Derry, in support of the work of the Churches’ Trust.
More than 20 local artists from the Donegal/Derry area are exhibiting their work.
They include nationally and internationally recognised artists and emerging artists of enormous potential.
Original paintings are on display in a variety of mediums, such as oil, watercolour and acrylic.
The Chief Executive of the Churches’ Trust, Fiona Fagan, said: “We are privileged to have this opportunity to present such a diverse, rich and extensive range of exhibits and invite members of the public to share in this experience and find out more about the Churches’ Trust. This is a must-see exhibition.”
The exhibition will run daily at the Garden of Reflection Gallery, at 16 Bishop Street, until Thursday December 22, and is open to all who would like to view the paintings in a wonderful, tranquil setting.
The Churches’ Trust was founded by the leaders of the mainstream churches over 20 years ago and recognises the need to work with a united voice to address the high deprivation in the North West.
The Trust works with those experiencing food poverty, the unemployed, the elderly, and individuals and families disadvantaged through low educational attainment and low income levels.
In all its work, it represents churches standing together for a shared and better future.
