Attempted arson on car in Limavady

Police are appealing for information following the report of an attempted arson in the Coolessan Walk area of Limavady in the early hours of this morning, Friday, 22 July.

Shortly before 3.00am it was reported that a window of a car, which was parked at a house, had been broken and an attempt was made to set the car on fire.

Sergeant Darryl McIvor would appeal to anyone who has information about this incident or saw any suspicious activity in the area to contact police at Limavady on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 116 22/07/16. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
