Crew were spotted on the award-winning Blue Flag beach on Wednesday, however, there was no sign of either of the show’s main actors Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan who play DSI Stella Gibson and Paul Spector.

Magilligan woman, Jacci Payne Tracey, was on the beach to catch some of the action.

With the HBO TV show ‘Game of Thrones’ already using Binevenagh and Downhill Strand as locations, Jacci said “it’s great to see “how famous our beautiful part of the country has become, and how the amazing scenery I wake up to every morning is attracting film crews”.

A spokesperson for Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council said they were contacted in early 2016 with a view to filming taking place in March of this year, however, that was subsequently revised and the crews were on site for 12 hours on Wednesday.
