Big Nature Exhibition

To celebrate local artistic talent, Derry City Council and the Bay Road Park Steering Group, are hosting a photography and painting exhibition at Bay Road Park Local Nature Reserve, (follow the brown directional signage at Pennyburn Roundabout) on Saturday 25th May 12:00 to 14:00. This event is perfect for families and nature enthusiasts, wishing to see local nature at its best!

Christine Doherty, Derry City Council’s Biodiversity Officer, explained, “This event will showcase local environmental photographs and paintings. It provides amateurs and professionals of all ages, an opportunity through the medium of art and photography, to promote the discovery, understanding and enjoyment of the natural world’.

Karen Healy, Bay Road Park Steering Group’s Chairperson, outlined, ‘Bay Road Park Local Nature Reserve provides a fantastic location in the city, to view our local nature, which has inspired many artists. The exhibition captures the beauty and wonder of the city, inspired by the local landscape and wildlife.’
