Big programme of events to celebrate Christmas in Carn

The Carndonagh Christmas Tree committee have been very busy over recent months preparing and planning a bumper programme of events to welcome and celebrate the Christmas season in the town.

On Sunday last, the busy crew will brought and erected the selected tree in the town centre. Seven busy days will ensue as the crew prepare for the tree lighting which will take place at 6pm this Sunday, November 30th .The folk choir will provide Christmas songs before the light up and everyone is invited to sing along.Santa Claus has been invited and all hope he can visit during what is a very busy time for him.

A number of fun and fundraising events have been organised by the committee and all support at and for these events is greatly appreciated. On Friday, December 5th, a seasonal fun quiz will take place in the Persian Bar commencing at 9.30.Quizmaster on the night will be Mr Colm O’Kane. A “ Night at the Races” with a difference will take place in Tully’s Bar on Saturday, December 27th. Music will be provided on Wednesday December 31st for the countdown and welcome to the New Year.Everyone is asked to support these planned events.
