Eden Place Arts Centre will be launching ‘Birds Eye View’ to commemorate International Women’s Day this Thursday, March 8.
The exhibition is a vibrant and varied mix of local female artistic talent. Described as a personal view of the world from the perspective of 14 local female artists, participating artists include; Mary Kennedy, Catherine Ellis, Andrea Redmond, Aine Croston, Cathyann Keaveney, Bronagh Corr McNicholl, Justine Scoltock, Maura McKee, Mary McLaughlin, Aishling Ramsey, Sinead Crumlish, Paddy McNicholl, Roisin O’Donnell and Catherine Duddy.
The centre will also be launching ‘Threads of Time’ booklet. This project began with storytelling workshops which drew out the stories locked away in the minds of the ‘Pilot’s Row Senior Citizens Ladies Group.’ The booklet recalls and re-examines the life of the participants through their personal and family stories and family stories. The booklet tells the story of our community in a fun way, from a female perspective.
