Body recovered from car discovered in water in Donegal on Tuesday morning
A body was discovered during a search operation in county Donegal after a car was discovered in water at a pier on Tuesday morning.
The alarm was raised shortly after 8.00am when a member of the public spotted a car in water beside Bunbeg Pier in west Donegal.
The search operation was led by Malin Head Coastguard with help from the Garda Síochána, Rescue 118 helicopter and the local coastguard.
The body of a man was recovered from the water.
Gardai have contacted the man's family and have launched an investigation.
There are no further details at this time.
