Burglars damage fireplace and wardrobe in Hazelbank break-in

Burglars damaged a fireplace and a wardrobe before making off with a piece of jewellery in a break-in in Hazelbank earlier this week.

Police are appealing for information following the report of the burglary at a house in the Rosskeen area.

Sometime between Tuesday, November 29, and 10.30am on Thursday, December 1 entry was gained to a house and a piece of jewellery stolen.

Damage was also caused to the fireplace and a wardrobe.

Police would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact Police at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 473 01/12/16. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
