Concern over Translink moves - O’hOisin

Sinn Féin MLA Cathal Ó hOisín has said after the recent announcements from Translink “regarding the rationalisation that is ongoing that there is some justifiable concern among drivers this may be the begining of a process that would lead to significant changes and redundancies”.

The MLA, who sits on the Department Regional Development Committee, said that they had “received recent assurances from senior Translink officials that there would be no depletion of services and this would also be a considerable concern for rural dwellers who rely on public services for education and employment”.

He added: “In some areas already there is a poor enough service and any further reduction would be disastrous.”
