The official launch of the Derry business awards will take place on April 5.

The Derry ~ Londonderry Business Awards are designed to celebrate excellence in, service standards, business practice, people development and entrepreneurship. Until 2011 the awards took place every two years however the decision has been made to make the awards an annual event, organised by City Centre Initiative and Londonderry Chamber of Commerce with The Money Exchange as principal sponsor.

Jim Roddy, Chief Executive City Centre Initiative said “Now more than ever we feel it is important to reward the local businesses who are the life and soul of our city. The unwavering dedication and immense work which is done on behalf of the city by our business community is something we should all be proud of, these awards are the city’s way of saying thank you to the business community”

Sinead McLaughlin, Chief Executive of Derry Chamber added: “It is right and fitting that as a business community we take time to applaud and celebrate our business progress and achievements. We are seeking a high number of applicants for each category. We would encourage businesses to see this as an opportunity to reflect on their success, acknowledge their team’s effort, to measure your performance and to create positive PR by differentiating your business.”
