Almost 200 people came off the dole in Derry last month - but the city remains the north’s economic blackspot.
Figures released today by the Department of Enterprise,Trade and Investment, show almost 6000 people in the city are claiming unemployment related benefits .
In Derry a total of 5814 (8.1% of the working age population), were signing on in March 2012 - a drop of 183 on the previous month.
The percentage of working age claiming the dole in Limavady stands at 6.7%, and at 7.1% in Strabane.
