A Dungiven rapeseed oil producer has struck a business deal that will see the produce from the family-run business line the shelves of stores across the North.

Dunola Fine Foods have secured a contract with the Henderson Group which will see the Dunola range stocked in various stores.

The family-run company, which employs six staff, was established in 2011.

Founder Martin McLaughlin is excited about the brand and its new association with the Henderson Group retail and wholesale stores.

“Currently our products can be purchased in over 300 independent retailers across both the North and South of Ireland but by securing shelf space with the Henderson Group we could potentially increase our distribution channels to another 100,” said Mr. Mclaughlin.

“I’m very excited to see how this will help to grow our business and with the associated marketing activity we are now also planning. I am confident that the Dunola brand will very soon be a regular in kitchens across the country,” added Mr. McLaughlin.

The young company boasts one of TV’s favourite chef’s Jenny Bristow as its brand ambassador.

“The team at Dunola not only have a wonderful selection of products on their hands, but they have a very young, vibrant and enthusiastic attitude towards this exciting new business,” said the TV chef, who added: “Their passion for their products is truly inspirational, and the products fit wonderfully into today’s modern lifestyles where consumers are demanding foods that are both healthy and convenient. I am proud to not only support them but to use their products on a regular basis.”

Dunola’s products can be found at the ‘Free From’ shelves in participating SPAR, EUROSPAR, ViVO and ViVOXTRA stores.

Henderson’s Trading Manager Eddie Burns is keen to support local suppliers.

“More and more consumers are looking for quality gluten-free products, not just coeliacs but people looking to maintain a healthier lifestyle,” he said. “The Dunola brand fits well within our range of locally sourced healthier ‘Free From’ products.”
