Free workshop for young people with biz ideas

As part of the CultureTECH festival,next Saturday 1st September at the MIllennium Forum, Blick Studios and Young Enterprise Northern Ireland will be delivering a series of three separate innovation workshops.

These workshops will bring together young creatives with an interest in entrepreneurship to focus on innovation to help them develop their business idea.

CultureTECH organiser Mark Nagurski said; “The aim is to inspire young people to get started in creative activities using technology and digital media and hopefully spark a few successful business ideas!

“The sessions will be covering idea creation, brand development, marketing, selling made easy, sales pitches, features and benefits, effective selling in three simple steps, and the skills and qualities of business roles. Participants will work together under guidance from Young Enterprise NI, Blick Studios and creative industry professionals.”

There are three workshops which run from 1030am-12pm, 1pm-2.30pm and 2.30pm-4pm respectively - all will take place in the Millennium Forum and all are completely free to attend.

The ‘Mindmapping and Idea Creation’ workshop revolves around developing a creative enterprise idea that uses digital media or technology, for example website design, mobile app development, computer game development, online marketing, film, tv or animation.

‘Idea Development’ involves thinking about values, vision, and aims, and participants will think about their business name and outline of their enterprises brand identity.

Young Enterprise NI will deliver an enterprise skill development workshop to help participants develop the enterprise skills required to bring their creative enterprise ideas to market.

The workshop topics including selling made easy, sales pitches, features and benefits, effective selling in 3 easy steps, skills and qualities of business roles and marketing.

This a unique opportunity for local young people to hear from leading industry professionals who can help them develop their ideas and prepare for start - at no cost, as part of the CultureTECH festival.
