A Derry call centre that laid off around 40 workers earlier this year is recruiting again in Derry.
HML’s Director of Marketing Julian Wells yesterday confirmed the company - which handles mortgage administration - is recruiting five new positions in Derry.
Since March of last year HML has shed more than 500 jobs across its operations.
In March this year around 40 workers were let go in Derry while in April the ‘Journal’ reported that some workers were fearful the company could soon pull out of the city.
Those fears appeared to be alleviated when the company announced it was closing its Padiham operation, resulting in almost 120 redundancies.
The new contact centre consultant roles are currently advertised on the HML website, and have a salary band of £12,000 to £14,500.
The job description states: “The main purpose of the Contact Centre Consultant role is to work within voice operations to ensure that telephone calls and administrative post are processed within Company service standards.
“You will be able to understand and maintain high quality customer database records and deal with complex telephone conversations, whilst always ensuring the customer is fairly treated and the best outcome is achieved for the customer and our client.”
