Learning Pool today announced that it has become Northern Ireland’s fastest growing technology company according to the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 50.
Based in Derry, Northern Ireland, the online learning company was the Rising Star in this competition in both 2009 and 2010. This year, Learning Pool achieved the double honour of being 26th on the overall UK list as well as the Northern Ireland winner.
The highly respected Deloitte Technology Fast 50 competition, one of the foremost technology award programmes in the UK, is a ranking of the country’s 50 fastest growing technology companies based on percentage growth in revenue over five years. Previous winners have included some of the most dynamic players in tech, biotech and digital media technology.
Having succeeded in the UK competition, Learning Pool now goes into the Irish competition this coming Friday. Speaking ahead of the award ceremony in Dublin Learning Pool’s co-founder, Paul McElvaney, attributed the company’s growth to its ability to recruit well. “We have spent a lot of time in the last five years recruiting and building our team of high performing people. They are the engine behind Learning Pool and the key reason for our continued growth and success now and into the future.”
