The Youth Employment Scheme is a voluntary programme for young unemployed people aged between 18 and 24.

Participants on work experience receive a benefit based training allowance of £15.38 per week on top of their benefit.

Participants on the Skills Development Programme get the equivalent to their benefit plus £45.
