Police are investigating reports of a hijacking in Greysteel last night.

After 10pm on Friday it was reported that a blue coloured Renault Clio was parked at the Vale Centre in Greysteel.

Three men were inside the car at the time.

A dark coloured Volkswagen Golf approached the Clio and a female passenger emerged from the Golf.

The driver of the Golf also exited the car and it was reported that he was armed with a screwdriver.

It is alleged that the man with the screwdriver ordered the driver and the two passengers inside the Clio to exit the vehicle.

The man with the screwdriver, the female passenger and another man got into the Clio and made off towards the Culmore Road direction.

It was also reported that the three men who were in the Clio left their mobile phones inside the car before they were forced to exit.

Police in Limavady are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with information to come forward.
