Ceili and Old Tyme dance in GAA Centre

There will be a Ceili and Old Tyme dance in the GAA Centre , Ture, on Sunday night 19th from 9pm -11.30pm.

Admission 5 euro, including supper.

Will members of the Muff Accordion Band please assemble at St. Mary’s Community Hall this Sunday 19th August at 6pm for bus to travelto Moville to attend the GAA Under 12 Junior final of the ‘Gerry O’Neill Memorial Cup’ final between Muff and Carndonagh.

The historical walk has become a feature of the Muff Festival after another very enjoyable and informative walk around prehistoric sites in the area wasconducted by Mura MacLochlainn. Participants decided to form a Muff Historical Society. Watch the Muff Notes and the Resource Centre website for details in the Autumn.

On the Sunday of the festival, the Church of Ireland, Muff, was open for the public to view the beautiful floral Display, and in the evening a Festival of Praise Service was held.

At the recent Clonmany Show our two talented ICA members, namely Carol Lynch, and Olive Parke, between them won 10 1sts, 8 2nds, and 3rds for different crafts, jam making, flowers and plants. Carol also won the G & S. Doherty. Costcutters. Cup for having the most points in the Craft Section.

Knowhead Presbyterian Church is holding a Coffee morning and Cake sale at Brown’s Farm, Lenamore, on Saturday 25th August from 10.30am-2.30pm. All monies going to Donegal Hospice and Church funds. Your support would be appreciated.

Anniversary Mass in Muff tonight at 7.30pm will be offered for Rose McGonagle on the first anniversary of her death.

The church gate collection this weekend in Iskaheen, Muff, and Drung will be taken up for the Muff Branch of the Apostolic Workers, all monies raised going to the Missions.

Last week’s church gate collection for the Missions Donegal Leprosy Fund amounted to 305 euro and £80. Thank you for your support.

Father Farren would like to thank the FAS workers for their great work in our parish and also thanks to all others who have generously and voluntarily helped them in recent work in our graveyards and school grounds.

The numbers drawn in this week’s Naomh Padraig’s GAA Lotto draw were 1,4,5,2,3,6,7,There was no jackpot winner however the runner-up prize of 100 euro was won by Caroline Lynch, Lower Ardmore, Muff.

Next week’s jackpot will be 1,850 euro. Congratulations to Aine McLaughlin, and Eimear Lafferty, who played for Donegal u16 girls in the recent Ulster Final. There will be a Donegal Team Training fun quiz in Carmans Inn, Ture, next Friday, August 24th at 9pm.
