Young Parkinson’s was started by Feeny man, David Murphy who was diagnosed with the neurological condition in 2014.

David is campaigning to raise awareness about the condition and how it can affect younger people. Last month, he has held a public meeting in Feeny about the issue and is holding a fundraising dance in Gortnaghey.

Meantime, David is delighted North West Cycling Club have organised the fundraise tomorrow, Saturday 12th March and is appreciative of their time and effort into making the vent possible. To take part in the cycle, registration is at Foreglen GAA clubhouse from 8:30am with the run leaving at 9.30am.

“There’s something for everyone with a 22-mile route and a 54-mile route planned with support vehicles covering both routes,” said a NWCC spokesperson.

The cost is £10 per person with refreshments afterwards. All proceeds will go to Young Parkinson’s.
