This year marks the first year Cancer Fund for Children’s Winter Woolly Walk comes to Derry.
The family event aims to help raise funds for the charity that supports children with cancer and their families.
It will take place in St Columb’s Park on February 28.
A spokesperson said the Cancer Fund for Children is currently supporting 216 people in the Derry area – this includes children who have been diagnosed with cancer, their siblings and children whose parent is living with cancer.
The Winter Woolly walk will take place at six other locations and it’s hoped 500 families will sign up and help the charity reach its target of £25,000.
The first 500 people to register will receive a free pair of Winter Woolly Walk gloves. Each walk ranges from three to five miles.
Registration is from 10am with walks starting at 10.30am.
