Trace your Ancestors Information Sharing Workshop will be held in St Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre this Saturday (24th January) 12 – 4pm. This workshop is of local interest and is open to anyone who has an interest in tracing family history particularly focusing on World War 1 using census records, official records, 1912 covenant, pension records, newspaper articles, letters, postcards and various websites.
A Garda Information and Advice Clinic is to run every month in St Johnston and Carrigans Family Resource Centre. This is a new service aimed at improving access to Garda services in the St Johnston and Carrigans area. An officer from the Garda services will be present in the centre to meet with people on a confidential one to one basis for the purposes of providing services such as passport applications, and information/advice to deal with public concerns/issues. Dates: Tuesday 3rd February 10am – 11am. Wednesday 3rd March 6.30pm – 7.30pm.
