Children in homes not told of siblings

The Inquiry team concluded that there was 'a widespread and pervasive practise of ignoring or concealing the existence of siblings' in Termonbacca or Nazareth House.

This was branded a “cruel and unjustifiable practise, and one which was a serious form of emotional abuse,” which was to cause “great and lasting distress” to many witnesses.

There were also instances whereby children were prevented from receiving letters from their parents.
