A brave Derry schoolgirl has raised a staggering £750 for the Children’s Ward at Altnagelvin, by giving up something very precious to her.

Anna Moore, a twelve year old from Claudy, raised the money at the same time as donating her beautiful locks to The Little Princess Trust who will then use the hair to make wigs for children losing their hair due to cancer treatment or other illnesses.

By sacrificing some of her hair, Anna has raised previous money which will be put to use in the Children’s Ward specifically for epilepsy services and treatment. The money was raised by sponsorship from Anna’s friends and family.

Anna would like to thank everyone who sponsored her for their kind contribution towards the Children’s Ward.
