On International Credit Union Day, Thursday 15th October Foyle Credit Union, Moville will launch a campaign to promote credit union savings and loans by hosting a ‘free’ coffee morning for families and members in the local area from 10.30am to 2.30pm at McFeely’s old shop in Moville’s Square.
In an effort to help families plan ahead for big expenditure events like Christmas, members of Foyle Credit Union are invited to have a cup of coffee and a chat with a member of staff who will be on hand on the day to answer loan or loan queries. Foyle
Credit Union is particularly aware that with recent back to school and college costs and Christmas ahead, many people are finding themselves financially stretched. The credit union is also aware that many people may be looking at moneylender or payday loan options to make ends meet and strongly advise their members to talk to them first before pursuing this option, particularly as the Christmas spending season approaches. Foyle Credit Union currently has 4,452 members, an increase of 166 in the past 12 months alone. Foyle Credit Union will make a donation to the Donegal Cancer Bus charity.
